So friends, I have gathered some more sculpting tutorials for you all. Quite a few people have been asking about some specific ones so I have been looking around for them. I thought I would share with you all what I found. 🙂

Aren’t her babies so adorable?!?
I think it’s well worth the price!
Stay sculpting my friends. 🙂
little bub in progress
So I have been working on casting the bigger baby in silicone and MAN- it is not easy!
I’m waiting for my most recent acquisition, a pressure pot to pan out with the seller so that baby is on hold for the moment. Oh, and I have to resculpt the ENTIRE body. (Mold making issues-not fun).
In the meantime I’ve been sculpting a little one hopefully to cast into a small silicone edition. Hopefully he or she turns out well enough. 🙂
What do you think?
I will be posting some more tutorial finds that I have acquired recently later on tonight! 🙂
sculpting mishaps
So, as some of you may know, I have been working on a full body/full size baby sculpt, and it’s proving to be quite the endeavor. After realizing that his torso is too long, I decided that his limbs just weren’t good enough, and started all over from the head down (almost)… Because as I was sculpting him a new body and limbs, I decided his ears weren’t good enough either. 🙂
I think I may be over thinking all of this a bit, but I want him to be PERFECT. I am planning to have this little one reproduced, so I over analyze every detail. I get frustrated at times because my sculpting isn’t as good as I want it to be. I learned that after enough hours anyone’s sculpting can be where they want- if they want it bad enough. Hah.
Each of his little feet took me days. Why? I couldn’t get it the way I wanted it. Putting his legs on his torso was no easy task either, but that is a longer story. 🙂
Now I just have two arms left, and lots of sanding ahead of me. I am hoping those turn out well. 🙂
Here’s the bub so far, and looking at him/her now I am so happy that I didn’t settle. It was worth the many extra hours. Now I am hoping other people think so too.
sculpting hurts!
My hands. Smoothing a baby this big is no easy task! But I do have this big bubba’s body finished, now for the arms and legs and a TON of sanding. 🙂
What do you think? I think he’s pretty cute!
I’m proud of his ears!!!
newborn sized baby wip
I have been MIA attempting to sculpt a newborn sized baby (my first!) for a little while. This newborn is part of a secret project. 🙂
I went from this guy:
SQUISHED.
To this guy:
SQUISHED. Why? I don’t know, I think he looked too much like a doll to me, and didn’t have any character.
To finally this one, whom I think I am going to keep (no squish). 🙂
This one has one squintier eye than the other, and a little nibbling of her lower bottom lip. I think she’s pretty cute. I am partial to grumpy looking little ones. 🙂 Now to shaper her head a bit better and work on the ears. We’ll see if I can sculpt lifesize ears.
I will have to say, sculpting a actual sized baby requires quite a bit of elbow grease. It’s been a learning experience though!
